Well this is shaping up to be a nice review. It works Ultimate Pro Fit Protein Powder is the product in question, and we’re going to give it a really good old fashioned protein powder review. It Works Global might be one of my favorite company names of all time and I’m glad that I get to review their chocolate protein powder ‘Ultimate Profit’. I really do have to hand it to It Works- they have a pretty fantastic naming staff. I love how these products are named. In this review, I’ll tell you if the product lives up to that name. Ultimate Profit. It reminds me of that Shark Tank show. Anyways. If you’re new to a BPW Protein Review- here’s how it will go: First I’ll ramble about my life for a brief paragraph to ‘warmup’. After that, we’ll get into some meat. The meat is composed of the packaging grade, the flavor grade, and the formula grade. Those are in descending orders of importance. Usually I do them flavor, formula, packaging, but today I’ll start with the aesthetics. After I grade It Work Ultimate Profit “Advanced Superfood Nutrition’ Protein on all three criteria, I’ll tie everything together with a final review summary. If you’re thinking of grabbing some Ultimate Profit by It Works, you are in the right place. Let’s get this protein review started.

Have you ever had a protein shake that absolutely changed your life? I think I had one this morning. It was made with coffee, vanilla protein powder, and some maca and some spinach. And some cacao. It sounds kind of gross, I know. But it was so, so good. You probably know which protein I used for it. Nope. It was not It Works Ultimate Profit. You can actually guess which one if you read our Top Ten Best Proteins for Women that we released a few weeks ago. But I bet you could make something pretty close to what I made by using Ultimate Profit. Speaking of which. Where should we jump in with Ultimate Profit…

I guess the best place to start is at the beginning. How did I even hear of this company in the first place? It Works pops up on my Instagram feed from time to time because they have some really obnoxious sale posts and stuff. And some of my friends just blow up my news feed with them. Like. No. I don’t want to buy these overpriced supplements for you. It’s so annoying. But anyways. A few weeks ago I caved and bought some of the It Works Fat Fighter product. I found it to be moderately effective but overpriced. I was hoping the Ultimate Profit would be a more high quality product than that. On the outside, it appears like it will be.

It Works Ultimate Profit Packaging Grade: 8.9

I wasn’t crazy about the Fat Fighter in terms of appearance, but the Ultimate Profit actually looks ok in my opinion. Aside from using a pouch instead of a jar, which I do not like, this product looks decent. The color palette is bright, vibrant, and distinctive. The coolest part about this design is the sort of ‘ghosted’ pattern that fades off into space near the top of the package. The pattern appears to actually be the It Works logo, just repeated a trillion times. They could’ve made the name ‘Ultimate Profit’ more prominent, in my opinion, because I think it’s one of the best things that It Works Protein has going for it- the name! They should flaunt that. Like I would do if I had a big butt. Lol. But yeah this protein looks good. It has a cute heart-shaped flavor graphic, which for me showed a chocolate bar (I have the rich chocolate flavor). The bottom of the label is handsome and pure and white. On it sits some text, speaking to the benefits of the product- ‘healthy heart formula’, ‘gluten free’, ‘no sugar added’, etc. etc. It’s a successful design. If it weren’t in a cheap bag I would give it a full-on ‘A’. Let’s peel back the layers of the onion and break down the It Works protein from a formulation perspective.

It Works Ultimate Profit Formula Grade: 8.0

Eh. It Works is such a weird company. I can’t decide if they are super-cheap or super-premium. And I’m holding the product in my hands. How does this even happen. Like. Help me tease out what this product is all about. On one hand you think, “hey this is a wonderful protein formula”…”there’s maca and cacao in it”…”it uses whey protein”…All good things, right? But then on the other hand you see things like Soy Protein Isolate, silicon dioxide, xanthan gum, and maltodextrin, and think, “this is the worst piece of crap protein I’ve ever seen!” You can really go either way with it. And what I’m basically teasing out for you right in front of your very eyes is that you can’t really tell how healthy or not healthy a protein powder is when they put everything inside a proprietary blend. There’s just no way for us to see how much of the bad stuff is in It Works Profit Protein Powder. Like if 200mg of soy isolate were in there- no problem. I can taste way more soy than that in It Works Profit, but it would really be nice to know how much. It is sweetened with stevia which is nice (until you taste it). Natural sweeteners always look better on paper in my opinion. The macros are pretty good though- let’s have a look:

Calories: 100

Total Fat: 2g

Sat Fat: 0.5g

Cholesterol: 6mg

Total Carbohydrates: 5g

Dietary Fiber: 3g

Sugars: 1g

Protein: 14g

Again- these are PRETTY good. Not great. I like that it’s low-calorie and sugar free. I wish it had like, 6 or 7 more grams of protein per serving. I also think it could’ve benefited from some additional micronutrients. Especially for the price point that they charge for It Works Profit Protein. Let us now discuss the flavor profile and taste of It Works Profit.

It Works Ultimate Profit Flavor Grade: 7.0

I don’t go out of my way to be a debbie downer. But somehow these big MLM companies just put out BAD tasting protein powders. I tried the Isagenix Isalean Shakes finally just a few days ago and thought some of those flavors were downright foul. It Works is just reinforcing my negative perception of the big ugly pyramid scheme brands. Cough Herbalife Cough. Cough Advocare Cough. I mean. Y’all have so much money. How can you not make something that tastes better than this?

The flavor of It Works Protein that I bought was the ‘Rich Chocolate’ and honestly it was not good. I went with my standard recipe of a cup of whole milk, a handful of ice cubes, and a full scoop and a half of protein powder. This recipe gives every shake a really great chance to taste good. The texture is always on point, and the sugars in the milk add some sweetness as well as texture and creaminess since I’m a fat pig and use whole milk. So yeah. The first sip was underwhelming as the last. It Works makes super bland protein shakes. I guess it’s better than having something that tastes strongly unpleasant? But seriously this stuff is bland. All you get is a very faint dusting of chocolate flavors. You get a tiny bit of sweetness from the stevia, along with some bitterness from both the stevia and the chocolate. I would be curious to try some of the other flavors to try and find out what’s the best flavor of It Works Protein– but my suspicion, and it’s a strong one, is that Rich Chocolate is NOT the best flavor of It Works Ultimate Profit protein powder.

A Few Quick It Works Comparisons:

It Works vs Shakeology: I would give the edge to Shakeology here. The price points are comparable, and at least Shakeology tastes good.

It Works vs Protein Isagenix: This one is a toss-up. Isalean tastes better, barely. It’s ugly as sin though.

It Works Ultimate Profit Protein Review Summary

  • It Works Ultimate Profit Packaging Grade: 8.9
  • It Works Ultimate Profit Formula Grade: 8.0
  • It Works Ultimate Profit Flavor Grade: 7.0
  • It Works Ultimate Profit Protein Value Grade: 7.0

Other than the appearance, there’s really not much to like about It Works Ultimate Profit protein- ESPECIALLY not at the premium price point that they are asking.*

It Works Ultimate Profit Final Review Score: 7.1
