1st Phorm Opti Greens 50 Reviews are abundant on the 1st Phorm website- and I keep getting Opti-Greens ads on my facebook so I figured. Hey. Why not scoop up a jar for myself and put together a really thorough, comprehensive Opti Greens review myself? That’s exactly what I did. And it’s an excellent one. In this 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 review, we’re going to first and foremost, have some fun. Reviews are so serious these days. I’m going to have some fun with this one you guys. But while having fun, we really are going to do a deep dive on this Opti-Greens product. We’ll go into the ingredients, the flavor, the packaging, and more to determine if this is a product worth taking a chance on. If that sounds cool to you, get ready to eat your veggies because I am ready to rock and roll with this 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 Review.

Sometimes I do not eat vegetables. There. I said it. Sometimes I just am not eating my veggies consistently. Like not even close. I’ll eat all sorts of carbs, tons of protein, but you guys know it’s just HARD to get those veggies in. Plus they don’t taste good. So of course we skip them, right? Right. Well. 1st Phorm and many other brands understand that, and they created a way for us to get those veggies in. The result is this Opti Greens 50. This tub of green powder is apparently going to provide me with all kinds of benefits ranging from detoxification to digestive health to heart health and beyond. Sounds pretty great to me! But does it actually work? And say what it says it does? Why don’t we start there.

Do 1st Phorm Opti Greens Work? I Review The Effectiveness:

Opti-Greens 50 is one of the only Greens products I’ve ever reviewed on here, and probably will be on a very short list of greens products that I’m going to review. Greens products are actually pretty difficult to ‘review’. I mean. How am I supposed to tell you if Opti-Greens 50 is actually ‘working’? There’s not really a notable feeling or sensation associated with a Greens product. No weight loss to speak of like there was in my Alani Nu Fat Burner review. No crazy pre workout feeling like in my Bloom Pre Workout review from a a few weeks ago. No. Greens are just sort of a, hm, I don’t want to say ‘placebo’ feeling because it is possible that they are doing some good internally for your digestive system or for your heart health or something..but it’s impossible for me to sit here and tell you that I could physically tell that 1st Phorm’s Opti-Greens 50 is actually ‘working’. So who’s to say if Opti-Greens 50 works? I have taken it a handful of times and I can not tell. But let’s talk about the taste because I actually CAN report out on that…

What Do Opti-Greens 50 Taste Like?

Well. 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 taste quite a bit like you would expect something called ‘Opti-Greens 50’ to taste: Like soil. The jar says that it has a ‘natural berry’ flavor, but frankly this stuff tastes pretty horrid. I wasn’t expecting high-class flavor, but even for someone with a pretty high tolerance for ‘supplement’ flavoring…I must say I had a tough time choking down Opti-Greens 50. I will say when you put it in a few ounces of water and shoot it down like a shot that it goes a little bit better than trying to mix it up in a tall glass. I can definitely taste some of the grassiness that I get in my wheat grass shots from Whole Foods. And I think some of the barley grass and spirulina as well. None of these are particularly pleasant tastes but hey. They are greens. They aren’t supposed to taste great. Overall taste isn’t good, but it’s not a deal breaker for Opti-Greens 50. I already shared a handful of the key ingredients in here but let’s drill down into the supplement facts and discuss the 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 ingredients.

What’s In 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50?

Great question- the Opti-Greens formulas is divided into 5 separate blends: The green superfood complex, the glycemic balance blend, the phytonutrient complex, the plant enzyme blend, and the probiotic blend. I like how they have divided the ingredients into these buckets to help keep this rather complex formula organized, and also to convey some of the functionality of the product. Here is the list of ingredients in each section:

Green Superfood Complex:

Organic Barley Grass

Organic Spirulina

Organic Wheatgrass

Other Ingredients: Natural Flavors, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Salt, Non-GMO corn maltodextrin

NOTES: Whew. Where to even begin with this formulation. There is just so much going on in here. I think overall I actually do appreciate the thought that has gone into this product. There are some really high quality, and thoughtful ingredients like curcumin which has many benefits like reducing inflammation. Then you have wheat grass and barley grass which are heavily featured in the green superfood complex. The familiar brands of broccoli, kale, and spinach are all represented in that complex as well, which is expected for any greens product. The fact that they are housed within a complex makes me wonder if their dosages are hefty enough to be effective (I sort of doubt that they are), but then again I’ve always doubted that a sprinkling of broccoli powder is going to really do anything for you. But. The last thing I’ll call out that I do like in the 1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 formula is the probiotic blend, which contains several really good strains for gut health and even mood support. I think that’s a really nice inclusion that makes the product stand out to me from other greens products that I’ve tried. Let’s review the packaging now before we wrap things up.

1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 Packaging is Pretty Nice-Looking

Opti-Greens 50 has several classic 1st Phorm design cues combined with a few more refined elements that are appropriate for the more wholesome Opti-Greens product.

The biggest thing separating the packaging of Opti-Greens 50 from a more iconic 1st Phorm product like Level-1 or Megawatt is that the Greens tub is white, whereas all of those other products utilize a black tub. I think that was pretty interesting for 1st Phorm to choose white over black. But it makes sense because again, the Greens are a more natural, ‘lighter’ product if you will. So I like the white because they still have a classic 1st Phorm look. 1st Phorm always does a nice job on packaging and Opti-Greens 50 is no exception. Let’s close out the review with a review summary.

1st Phorm Opti-Greens Review Summary

– Opti-Greens 50 is the popular greens product from 1st Phorm that focuses on improving overall health with a blend of vegetable powders

– The 1st Phorm Greens powder contains 50 different ingredients that are divided into 5 separate specific blends that serve different functions ranging from overall health to glycemic health to gut health

– I did not notice any profound changes from the product, but any changes would be subtle to detect as it is a greens product

– The Opti-Greens 50 product is branded in a white version of traditional 1st Phorm branding. It looks rather handsome

And so where does all of that leave us? Well. You get 30 servings for $60. So $2 per serving. There is certainly a LITTLE bit of sticker shock when you look at that price but when I look back over this formula…you really ARE getting a pretty nice bang for your buck with Opti-Greens 50. It is certainly one of the better high-end greens supplements out there right now.*
